The Annual BNE Holiday Party

at 7 pm on Wednesday Evening, January 11, 2006. All members in good standing are invited, comp'd and may bring a guest. This year the Board of Directors has chosen: 100 Millburn Ave., Millburn, NJ -- 973-992-6331 Please don't forget to bring a suitable gift to the party for the "I claim your gift" Grab Bag Gift Exchange for each couple attending. ($20 to $25 max). This will most probably be one of the highlights of the event as it has been in the past owing to the "claiming" feature that creates so much laughter. For new members here's how it works, officially. The order of the drawing is done by lot. As each turn comes up, the member or their guest has the right to forfeit their turn to pick an unopened gift from the gift table and instead, claim a previously opened gift that has caught their eye. No holds barred! (Your'e not supposed to hide the gift at any time.) Once the action heats up, the screams and laughter are not far behind. Last year, I remeber there was a particular wine rack that must have passed through 6 hands before true ownership was established. Every time it was claimed, the room erupted with laughter. |
